2020- We've come so far in so many ways as a global society. When we invest our time and are dedicated to a result, it is truly amazing how quickly we can progress.
So how is it that in this new decade equal pay for women in the United States still is not a given. With all of our algorithms in place to make so many choices automatic, how is it still figured in that one gender is not equal to another. Equal pay for equal education, equal time, equal effort and equal dedication obviously should be a given.
Not every woman still has to deal with this. Or deal with the fear of retaliation when asking for equality. Things are changing.
But the statistics show that this is still inherently prevalent for the female. In most cases you are actually unaware that you are paid less.
This piece is full of my obvious sarcasm and overload of symbolism. The subtitle 'You Would Think' is where the ideas for this piece evolved from.
You would think a female co-worker must be something unacceptable in the workplace to still be unequal in this decade.
