About
The idea of persistence is central to my practice. Through the disciplined layers of photography, collage and photo compositing, I learned how presence accrues- how it doesn't erase itself but layers into a new truth. My current in studio acrylic work is using the painting surface to stage this essential collision: the fixed weight of the past confronted by the rapid, ephemeral information of the present. The painting is not just a picture; it is the record of their simultaneous occupancy.
